Taking care of your health starts with your home environment. We spend 80% to 90% of our time indoors every day, but we are often oblivious of the threats caused by environmental pollution in our own homes and neglect its impact on our health. We now offer two solutions—Smart Indoor Clean Air Management and Interior Green Design and Renovation—for a healthy home environment by pooling together Taiwan's experts in the field.
The outbreak of COVID-19 has made people more aware of the importance of indoor air quality. But the reduction of toxic elements in the air still requires a professional smart system to do the work. The smart air management ecosystem offers a one-stop service that links up Taiwan's clean air solutions. It integrates vendors of hardware, including air quality detectors, air conditioners, heat exchangers, fresh air ventilators, air purifiers, dehumidifiers, pandemic prevention products, and air ducts, and vendors providing software programs and information security, as well as construction contractors. Together, a co-branded smart air quality sensing controller called GiA is launched. It seamlessly combines clean air and pandemic prevention solutions with the ambition of making its mark in the international market.
Interior design and renovation is an integral part of home life. But there has never been a standardized process and certification mechanism for home interior renovation and decoration that can have serious effects on people’s quality of life. The result: numerous disputes or seemingly healthy renovation that's actually detrimental to health. The healthy and sustainable design and renovation ecosystem led by Green Come True Corp. connects the interior design industry chain in Taiwan through industry-academia-research collaboration. A "Three-phase, Four-stage, Five-check" green design service procedure is jointly developed to offer B2B/B2C non-toxic, healthy indoor green design services and certification and a one-stop procurement platform for green designers. The three phases refer to the pre-, during and post-renovation phases, covering the four stages of design and planning, building materials application and management, construction environment management, and completion acceptance. The five checks are the gatekeeping of the five target groups involved in the process, namely the designers, material vendors, equipment vendors, site workers, and consumers. The ecosystem is being promoted to other Asian countries to jointly build a shared green living economy in Asia.
The GiA Smart Indoor Air Quality Sensing Controller (GiA) by NewGreen Tech Co., Ltd connects indoor air control devices to achieve a smart health prevention system targeting indoor air for buildings. GiA can detect 12 kinds of indoor pollution sources, including carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, PM2.5, PM10, formaldehyde, TVOC, ozone, fungi, temperature, humidity, indoor/outdoor air quality index, with detection standards complying with the international WELL Building Standard. It is able to diagnose pollution sources in the space through precise detection, and help customers find appropriate improvement methods, such as push notifications for poor indoor/outdoor air quality or a reminder for filter replacement or automatically activate the indoor air control devices, to maintain indoor air quality in the most comfortable and healthy state, thus protecting the health of customers at all times.
The brains and brawn behind this healthy and sustainable green design and renovation ecosystem is Green Come True. Working with Green Building Material Council, National Taipei University of Technology, and Dwell Quality Consumer Protection Association of Taiwan (DQPA), it has developed a green design and renovation certification system that is now being adopted by many construction companies in Taiwan. The green design and renovation certification is more than just a building or material certification, but the control management over the entire process from beginning to completion. It allows homeowners to see the various safety tests and receive a complete record of building materials after completion to enjoy a truly healthy living environment.
